Thaler Pekar has been recognized by the BBC and the Smithsonian Institution as an expert on organizational storytelling.

As the CEO of Thaler Pekar & Partners, Thaler guides smart leaders in finding, developing, and amplifying stories that break through an increasingly complex marketplace and rally critical support. Her Heart, Head & Hand™ framework for persuasive communication is directing entrepreneurs and advocates throughout the world in increasing visibility, income, and influence.

Thaler co-facilitated the opening plenary of the most recent Smithsonian Institution Conference on Organizational Storytelling. She has taught at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications; is a frequent guest lecturer at the Columbia University Graduate Program in Strategic Communications; and is a contributor to the Stanford Social Innovation Review.

Thaler has a deep background in public health, having served as a board member and then as public affairs director for Horizon Health Center, a community health and social service center. Thaler wrote the application that awarded FQHC status, and oversaw the addition of geriatric, behavioral, and dental health services. She also served as Communications Director for the national Children’s Health Fund, and is a founding member of the American College of Women's Health Physicians.

She is a long-time resident of Hoboken, NJ, and a more recent resident of Unadilla, NY. Thaler always crosses the street to walk on the sunny side, and she has a cat named Truthiness. You can read more about Thaler and her work at
