E-cigs Now Included in Clean Indoor Air Act in Carbon County
Effective April 14, The Carbon County Commissioners have included e-cigs as a tobacco product. The use of all tobacco and smokable products (including e-cigarettes) are now prohibited in all Carbon County public businesses.
This new policy can motivate community members to work toward quitting smoking and vaping or chewing tobacco. People can call the Montana Tobacco Quit Line for assistance in developing a personalized quit plan and learning about medication options. Callers can receive a free supply of nicotine replacement therapy or Chantix at a greatly reduced cost with a prescription. Help is available from the quit line seven days a week by calling 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
