MPHA's Role in Public Health
The Montana Health Association was organized in 1918; one of the first four states to affiliate with the national organization in 1919. In 1979 the name of the organization was officially changed to the Montana Public Health Association. The members and the officers govern the organization. Organizational members educate and lobby legislators with the purpose of advancing and supporting legislation that enhances the health of the population. MPHA joins with other organizations on specific issues to strengthen the Voice of public health and advance legislation support to the people of Montana
