MPHA-MEHA Annual Conference and Meeting

"Healthy Environment + Healthy People = Public Health" brought to you by the Montana Public Health Association (MPHA) and the Montana Environmental Health Association (MEHA)
The Director of Montana’s Department of Environmental Quality gave the conference keynote on Wednesday, September 14, “Public Health and the Environment: Past, Present and Future.”
Opper congratulated MPHA and MEHA for joining together for this year’s conference. “If we have a healthier environment, we have healthier people,” said Opper.
He challenged public and environmental health practitioners with a call to action for a clean and healthful environment, saying the answer is regulation and changing behavior. “We’ve made progress since the days of burning rivers because people ended up forcing change.”
